We were staying in Northern Saskatchewan with cousins who said they would take us just up the road to a little lake to do some fishing. Just up the road turned out to be 400km and the little lake was 10 miles long and 6 miles wide.

In a new border we had created for conifers appeared a number of giant poppies. From whence they came we know no. This painting was done from photographs of them . The plants grew to about 4 feet high. We await next year to see if they return.
